The State of Video Marketing in 2020

Video is a highly effective form of content and its popularity has gone hand-in-hand with the rise of social media. In 2020, 92%of marketers say that video is an important part of their marketing strategy. This has grown from 78% in 2015, showing that the importance of video is only growing.

As well as more brands looking to utilize videos, consumers are now watching more videos than ever before. It is estimated that the average person will spend 100minutes every day watching online videos in 2021. This is a 19% increase compared to daily viewing minutes in 2019, which stood at 84.

Finally, with the ROI of online videos increasing along with the amount of time consumers are spending watching them, it’s hardly surprising that 99% of marketers who are currently using videos will continue to do so in 2020.


At Ripple Marketing, we are no different. As the needs of our clients have grown, so has the list of services we offer. Video production has been one of our most popular service offerings for the digital pillar of our business in recent months.

 

With preparations well underway for the next launch of apartments in Barnageeragh Cove, Skerries, we are taking full advantage of the benefits of video for this campaign to promote this exclusive new development.

This video started with a pre-production meeting in Ripple HQ, where location scouting and a shot list were put together. Following this,we contacted a number of collaborators to ensure we could capture footage at the different locations.

Following the full one-day shoot, it was back to the editing room where we had to edit, grade and type the footage. Logo animation was then added before we cut down the video into 5 shorter clips that could be used across different social media campaigns. The files were then ready to be exported to different sizes for social media and were ready to go.

Initial results have been hugely positive and better than the high standards we had set ourselves so far.
